The long-term project Somewhere I Belong (2020-2024) is a photographic meditation about the rural landscapes of Europe — a poetic exploration of a shared collective identity and the human desire for belonging or seclusion during times of global uncertainty.

At the heart of this work are the people that consciously and critically engage with their personal concepts of home. The methodology of this project is inspired by the spirit of wanderlust, marked by fragility and intimacy, creating a nuanced portrayal of Central Europe. Throughout my travels—whether on foot, by bicycle, or by car—isolated individual perspectives are woven into a collective visual documentary discourse, reinterpreting and questioning conventional understandings of individuality.
